Lotus Olympus pumps set a new standard in performance and reliability.
They have been developed to take high volumes of water which contain quantities of solids to either a waterfall or filter without clogging.
Other pumps adapted for this purpose use 'modified' impellers, which reduce the head of water.
The Olympus incorporates a macerating impeller that breaks up the solids enabling them to easily pass through the pump. This system has no detrimental effect on the head so as a consequence the Olympus 10000 can deliver a volume of water up to 5m high making it ideal for larger waterfalls and filters.
The asynchronous motor is sealed for life and incorporates a thermal resetting cut out which protects the pump in the unlikely event it becomes blocked.

The Torrent Pumps are the latest revolution in solids waste movement pumps. The are ideal for running waterfalls and filters. The unique Duplex Magflow Technology enables the Torrent Pump to deliver the high perfomance needed to deliver the pressure required to run modern pressurised filter systems and spectacular waterfalls. The New Oase Aquamax Eco pumps have a specially formed impeller, which handles even larger solids. The Oase Aquamax range has now increased with a unique new feature for the larger models. The option for two inlets (not on the 2000) allows, for a remote strainer (Optional Extra - Not Included) or skimmer to be used. Using the remote strainer or skimmer reduces the likelihood of 'dead' areas and increases the speed with which pond waste is collected. Low wattage makes them cost effective to run. The Aquamax 4000 -16000 are supplied with 10m of mains cable, hosetails, remote strainer cage and 1 x 38mm, 32mm, 25mm plastic hoseclips. The Aquamax range is offered with a 3 year warranty, which can be extended to 5 years free of charge upon request to Oase.

The pump should then be housed in a well-ventilated, weatherproof enclosure, out of reach of children. You will also need an Amphibious Non-submersible kit, with a non-return valve and fittings, to keep the pump primed in case of a power failure. Using your pump NON-submerged reduces operational efficiency, so choose a larger model in that case.
